POLITICS: endorsements in elections
PIPELINE: systems and mentors for strong candidates
Join us Saturday, December 6 at the Marriott Oak Brook for our annual State of the Coalition Brunch.
This year’s theme, “People Power in Perilous Times,” will highlight the courage and collaboration needed to build stronger, more just communities amidst today’s challenges. The event will bring together civic leaders, partners, and changemakers to celebrate our collective work, learn from one another, and continue advancing our mission to empower people and communities.
We look forward to seeing you there!
On October 11, Muslim Civic Coalition–Activate, Glenbrook Muslim Civic Association, and SACRED ACTS hosted a candidate forum for IL-9 congressional candidates—offering voters a rare chance to meet the contenders, hear their views, and build momentum ahead of the March 17, 2026 Illinois Primary.
This marks the district’s first competitive race in nearly 30 years, following Rep. Jan Schakowsky’s decision not to seek re-election. With over 20% of Illinois’ congressional delegation expected to turn over, the forum energized one of the state’s most diverse voter bases—including growing Asian American and Muslim communities.
The event drew a packed room, featured all leading candidates, and surfaced key voter questions.
A big win: voters saw themselves reflected on stage—every race, faith, and background represented among the diverse candidates.
We understand these are challenging times, and many are asking, "Why should I even vote?"
Help spread the message by sharing these cards on social media, WhatsApp, and anywhere else they can make an impact!
We’re a 501c4 organization.
Communities that vote, advocate for policies, and engage their public leaders are successful in achieving Civic Justice! Sometimes, there is confusion as to what it means to engage in civics and politics in a non-partisan way.
